About Me:
I joined the trust in March 2002 as a junior radiographer with 18 months experience, since I have developed and progressed through the radiographer grades and currently I am Advanced Practitioner with a specialist interest and post graduate certificate in appendicular reporting. My current roles includes undertaking all general radiographic procedures, giving support and advise to students, Bands 4, 5 and 6 assistant practitioners / radiographers and to liaise closely with the Modality Service and Site Leads. I am involvement in the modernisation of the Radiology services and am responsible for the day to day management of a designated area of the department. This consists of the following:

  • Emergency Flow A&E/Theatres/Portables/In-patients
  • Elective Flow Out-patients/GPs/Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Co-ordinating the Quality Assurance program both at Heartlands hospital and at The Birmingham Chest Clinic.
  • Report on Appendicular radiographs.
  • Participate in the delivery of CPD for junior staff under the advice of the Plain Film & Training and Development Lead.
  • Rostering of junior staff.
  • Actively participate in audit work.
  • To deputise for the Site Lead in their absence.
