Heart of England Foundation Trust is one of the largest acute teaching hospitals in the country serving a population of over 1 Million people. It is a major trauma centre as well as hosting several regional specialities and supra-regional units within the Trust serving a much wider population, including Renal Medicine, Thoracic Medicine and Surgery, Cystic Fibrosis, Infectious Diseases, Clinical Haematology, an Academic vascular unit and Oncology.
The Radiology Directorate is well equipped having had a significant investment of over £7.5 million in new equipment over the past 3 years providing state of the art technology. The Directorate performs over 450,000 examinations per annum providing a wide range of general and specialised services in support of the clinical units within the Trust. A high proportion of these services are for in-patients of general and specialised directorates with a wide variety of acute medical and surgical conditions.
The Directorate have a proven local and national track record in service redesign and innovation. The Directorate fully supports both personal and professional development and actively encourages role extension and CPD through annual development reviews. We are committed to excellence in patient care through support and development of our staff through Corporate and our extensive Local Induction program.
All sites deliver a 24/7 service provision and where indicated full participation would be required.
